What is Pilates?Pilates is a series of controlled exercises performed in a focused, precise manner which strengthens, sculpts, and lengthens muscles. Created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, it emphasizes the importance of core strength, proper alignment and postural improvements. Pilates is a popular, invigorating and fun way to achieve improved fitness and well-being.

Classes are appropriate for all fitness levels and include modifications and challenges to accommodate all participants.
What to Wear?
Wear any comfortable clothes or yoga-type fitness attire. Shoes are not required for class. You may wish to bring your own mat however mats are available in the fitness center for your use.
